where did you mount your cb?
Really? that must be a myth or something because truckers have there radios level with there antennas on there mirrors.
thats what the old guy at the cb shop said and dual whips have to be about 9ft a part to work better than one whip
ya i still think that the truckers radios are lower then the antennas
but im no cb's know it all

yeah, but thats kinda odd, haha maybe the guy at the shop didnt know what he is talkin about. because my bud has his in both corners of his bed by the cab an there about 5 or 5 1/2 feet apart. and his cb is mounted on top of his dash.

Just took that outside, so it's kind of dark. Tried to lighten it up a bit, but gives you the general idea. Too dark to take a pic of the antenna, but it's a 4ft whip mounted drivers side, up by the front strap hole on the side of the bed. Try to get some better pictures tomorrow.

so whats the antenna of choice on dodgeforum? When I was on Jeepforum it was the firestick. Any specific brand or style you guys find to work better?
I just bought one for around 10 bucks at one of the local stores, but I've heard alot of good things about the firesticks. Buddy of mine just bought two for his cummins, I'll let you know how they do once we get the new radio in. Only reason I went with the cheap ones was because I got the radio free.

You can either buy a set of cables that are single to dual or buy a little Y and two cables. Take a look here.

I personally am perfectly fine with my single antenna. Most people do the duals simply for looks. Now, if I had a big 4wd Cummins, it'd be a different story.

I drive around with the console down all the time... it really doesn't bother me all that much. I can still adjust the *****, I just have to rotate my arm a little bit.
