I was looking at supercharging my 98 5.9...
...and was just wondering if there is a certain one out there that just stands out, above the rest. I'm completely new to supercharging, so my knowledge on the like is very limited. Thanks in advance

I've heard that turbos are a lot harder on the engine then super chargers are and also that they are more maintenance ??? Anyone know if this is correct or not ?
turbos are going to be hard on your engine if it has high compression, but so will a supercharger. Magnums have fairly low compression so a turbo shouldnt hurt it at all. I mean comon if a ford probe can handle a turbo, so can a ram
I've wondered about that but thought perhaps it was because the engines we built for it. I have a 360 and I know they are pretty darn tough as it is. I also know a friend who bolted on a turbo to his Toyota 22r and blew the engine in short order. Mind you he drove like a fool.
I think the supercharger is an easier install as well as less maitinence. I could be wrong though. But they do sound cool !!

The biggest thing is if your going to supercharge an engine, or turbo for that matter. Is make sure you go with forged internals. Turbos and superchargers put so much force on to everything, everything needs to be tough to handle it
try these guys... http://www.gsmotorsports.com/ they have a few kits and also it'll point you in the right direction for other kits...
Forged internals ?? So does that mean that I should replace my internal parts prior to adding a supercharger ? I've got some money to play with and am doing the basics soon, but changing all my components while the engine is still so tight is kinda crazy.
Maybe I'll just stick with the ignition, intake and exhaust
