door rust
Ill tell you what I think. They need to put mudflaps on all dodges. The front wheels toss grit grim and crap under the door lip. The last owner of my truck never used mudflaps and the grim coated the door sill. Then somehow it worked its way into the cab and was getting all over the floor. For the first few weeks I would drive it around in the winter and find salt coating everything. Sometimes if you dont want to buy mudflaps on a car lets say.... The salt is just all over the side of the paint and you just wash it off. The way my dodges body is shaped I get the full effect being forced in the door crack. Im happy to say that now that I got the flaps on it this has stopped. Another good trick is take your sponge and get under the door to make sure its clean. Also hit it with wax although its a pain in the butt. Make sure the drain holes on the bottom of the door are not clogged. This truck had leaves and crap blocking them. Nothing lasts forever but I think the mudflaps are a must have to save your paint as long as possible.
