Chasing down gauge problems
Just bought this truck from the original owner since 1/1/2006 and trying to run down gremlins with the voltage gauge and check engine light.
Right now the voltage gauge is flat lined at 0 but I see ~14 at the alternator. The check engine light is not lit up but I pull a P0300 and P0303 with my scanner.
I have not torn the dash apart to check for loose connections but will tomorrow. Before I do so, are there multiple connectors behind the gauge cluster that control these gauges or is it one big harness?
Either way, if all is seure, which color wires am I looking at for both of these? I haven't ruled out a blown bulb for the CEL, but it might not use bulbs....
