Default brake electrical problem? double-you tee eff

ok so the other day i notced that my guages had a faint glow to them when my lights were off, as if the backlight was sort of on. when i let off the brake it went away, and then i noticed that my radio, which dims when it senses the lights are on, got brighter. and so i pushed the brake again. when i push the brake my guage backlights sort of come on, and my radio dims as if my lights are on. has anyone ever heard of this, or had this happen? im at a complete loss.

Sounds like you have some rubbed wires grounding or touching. I think you might have to bust into that wiring harness under the dash to find it. You could pull fuses to see what circuit it is on though.

Wait for someone else to chime in before doing that though.

Sounds like you need to start chasing grounds and connections... That would be caused by the brake lamp circuit feeding back through the park lamps which can end up causing even more problems down the road if not fixed.
