Soon to be replacing my pinion shaft bearings, and wanted to know if doing a bearing install only, do i just re use the old shims or is all new alignment needed?

Also if anyone has the bearing I/D and width (roller bearings) and the O/D of the race bearings they could give me that would be great. Then i can start making me some tools for install and "dummy" bearings.
