In my 97 ram 2x4, when I hit a large bump, a violent "wobble" in the front end and steer wheel happens, and doesnt stop until I come to a complete stop. Would this be a shock problem, or something bigger? Yes, the front shocls are stock, 115600 miles, and the rear socks have only about 1000 miles on them.

 

I just left a post about my truck doing the same thing. Mines a 95, the way you describe it sounds alot like mine. I hope some one can help.
