tranny - lazy downshift ?
my '01 1500 w/ off road pkg has a really lazy downshift unless i come to a complete stop at a stop sign or stop light. if you do a 'rolling' stop it will continue in the higher gear and downshift really hard w/ throttle input. has about 50K on rebuild w/ shift kit & cooler done @ same time. GPS pak and vehicle speed sensor have been replaced and problem persists. i haul a 6,000 lb boat w/ this thing regularly w/ no other issues except this lazy downshift. my old tranny guy hooked his Trans-X machine w/ no issues and said it didn't need rebuild. I'm wondering if valve body or torque converter could be culprits......i get no check engine codes for tranny. if it's any significance I am getting a large evap leak code but no tranny codes. even had the TPS replaced which was no help. hoping somebody that reads this has had the same problem as i don't want to go rebuild route to have same issue when complete.

As far as yours goes with a delayed downshift goes, I would take a look at this.
