Yep fuel pump is on it's way out.

Mine did the same exact thing - it just wouldn't start one morning. Smacked the tank and it fired up so I replaced the fuel pump by loosening the bed bolts, fuel filler neck, and the tail light wiring.

If you're going to raise the bed to get at the fuel pump, make sure you stuff some 4x4's between the bed and the frame so it doesn't slip and squish ya.

yeah, make sure you support the bed somehow. here's what i did with mine. 2x4 in the wheel well. before you go spend $235 at autozone for a pump, check out ebay. they sell walbro's for cheaper. and, they sell oem replacements also for cheaper than store prices. just my .02
