Default Trying to sell ram- Swap 35x17.5 MT Baja Belteds for 35 on fac- hurt or help?

I'm selling my "offroad" ram 1500- 94 w/6 1/2" lift.

Someone is offering to trade me 35s w/factory wheels + cash for my 35x17.5 MT Baja Belteds. Good tread on the bajas. Didn't know if it would hurt my resale value (even though the bajas are worth a lot more), or if it may help it (less obnoxious if you don't want to offroad), or no effect.

Any ideas?

how much is the person offering for the trade? what brand of tire? what kind of condition are they in? what is the actual date on the tire? all of these add up.

but i would say $500 and his set of rims and tires would not be that bad of a price.

then put your truck up for sale for about $5500-7000.

it also helps if you put down that you are interesed in trades.

i have done this alot for a friend who trades vehicles at least once a month

First off, if your truck is a '94 model year than it does not have the off road package.

My opinion is to trade for the stock wheels and 35's... it typically will help sell a little easier than a big wide tire/wheel package like you currently have. Also, those bajas must be old... they havnt made that size in years. I put the 36x14.5's baja belted's on my 2nd gen when I first bought it (about 11 years ago) and they didnt even make that size then.

i think he meant "off-road" as in its jacked up with mudders, thats why it was in quotes...

Correct- I said "offroad" because it is not an offroad package, but a buyer would likely be purchasing it for primarily offroad use given the setup.

at what I'm planning on listing it at ($3400), I thought the "offroad ready" aspect would be the primary selling point for some buyers. New wheels/tires however would open it up to more buyers, so I'm guessing that may be worthwhile based on everyones feedback, even if it involves lowering the price a bit.

Thanks for your help!
