Default Front Passenger side axle noise

I've been hearing a weird noise coming from my front passenger side tire. I thought it was a rock in the break...but wasn't. I jacked it up and removed the tire and didn't see anything. Then i spun the shaft and heard a clunking, rattle noise. Sounded like it was coming from inside the axle...It is 4x4...the noise speeds up as the truck does. I've been driving on it for a month now and it hasn't got any worse...

Any ideas...suggestions

Thanks

How well did the hub spin? How long? If it is a hub bearing the hub will get significantly hotter than the other side.
