Default 2001 Dodge 2500 truck Ball Joints

I have a 2001 3/4 Dodge truck. I need to change the upper and lower ball joints and was concerned with the coil springs
Will I need to support the A-arms due to the coil spring pressure, or is there something else that I need to be concerned with? Thanks for any help.

If he/you have a two wheel drive, than yes the spring is a concern. use a floor jack or jack stand to insure the lower control arm doesn't drop enough to get a face full-o-spring.

If you had a 4x4, your biggest concern would be getting the bearing out of the knuckle... The only thing I have had to pay for so far.
