OBD conversion
IIRC B&G odbI flashes are 650 now
Perfect Power still sells SMT6, as well as the SMT7 & SMT7, the 6 is probably same price as a B&G flash, maybe cheaper.
I was using the SMT6 back in 05.
Its a piggyback(different from a stand alone), had to hack into the harness to tap or override sensors.
No resistors needed for the injectors though maybe obdI is different ?
Has nothing to do with the trans.
Allowed me to pass 05 etest with the FSM24lb inj in my 96 which it probably would of failed with just the mp pcm running it (never tried so cant say for sure)
Got my Indy back to running 14.0 ets again after going back to legal exhaust(gutted h/f), fresh trans & beefier diff.

first start up with the piggyback hooked up

Data log of a real aggressive tune I tried to run.
Worked ok 2 days before getting to thet track but pinged like an SOB on the 1/4m
The ign map boxes that have anything but a 0 are ones I had adjusted

Stand alone engine management has nothing to do with the trans either.
It does not piggyback, its has its own ecu.
It does not use the factory harness plugs, need to rewire the harness for different plugs so really doesnt matter how many plugs your pcm has.
Still need a pcm to run the trans, pictured below is my FAST bank to bank (older version) & my MP PCM in my Indy.

And if you are running a standalone in a piggyback fashion, like most people do to retain the factory gauges and transmission function, the stock injector harness will be unplugged, causing the need for resistors if you don't want codes.
