Default 360 heads on 408

how many CC's are the heads on the 360? http://www.blueprintengines.com/popu...specs&pc_id=74 I'd like to bolt one of these up with some 360 heads and intake. Bigger TB while probably be needed. Just wondering if the top end parts from a 360 will bolt on? If so ill take 10 of em lol

make sure they are NEW heads, and not used, but i believe you could get away with it....if you're thinking of using used heads, think again, they tend to crack.

do you know the cc's of them? I was just gunne get a junk yard set. inspect them and deck them of course. I believe the 318 heads ar 58 CC and that would be a little bit too much comp for pump gas. If going new id spend my money on something a little better than stockers

you cannot use that block on our trucks. That is a LA engine bloick from the 70s/80s. We have Magnum engine blocks.

Sorry.

if you are on a budget...408 is NOT the way you want to go.

CHeapest: get the stroker kit yourself and put in the new crank rods and pistons. However, you don't sound like you can do that all by yourself. THere is a lot of machine work that needs to be done to do that. Hence why shortblocks are so expensive.

ALso, you boiught a DODGE MAGNUM. it is not like you bought a vortech chevy where there are parts out the wazoo on every website. These are the most expensive trucks to build up.
Wnat cheap, buy a 1997 chevy.

is there a walk threw or how to on the stoker kit? what all has to be machined? thats not really a problem, im majoring in it lol

if its as simple as 1,2,3/pistons, rods, crank it wouldnt be bad at all. i think in pretty mechanically inclined, just never put a stroker kit in (just basic top end rebuilds...on old 351 clevelands)
