Default Wheel Tire Question

OK, I really like the look of the 16" Dodge Steelies with the trim rings and chrome center caps. Remind me of those old chevy rallie wheels.

Anyway, I was thinking of getting a set widen an inch to be 16x8 and running some 285/65r16's. Anyone know if this will fit? I looked under the truck and there seems to be room to widen the wheel to the inside.

Just wondering if anyone runs a 30.5 inch tall 11.25 section tire on a 8" rim with 6" backspacing.

Thanks

I have run 33x12.5 on a 15x8 rim on a stock steelie with no problems.

Hey JackJ, I am 2wd and it will all be going to the inside, are you lifted and do you remember what your backspacing is?

I am lifted 6in and I am not sure of backspacing. With 35 12.5 I had rubbing on full steering lock. I don't see a problem with that width, even on a 2wd, I run 33 12.5 on my cj5 with stock jeep wheels as well.
