Default Water in the driver side kick panel

I recently had keyless entry installed in my truck. The installer put relay's and wires and such in the driver side kick panel. About a week ago the keyless entry quit working and when the guy removed the kick panel he noticed that one of the relays had been shorted out by water. There's never any water on the carpet or anything so I'm confused as to what this might be. Bad door seal maybe?

I agree, it's the most likely culprit. Could be the windshield too I suppose. Or cab lites, but it looks like you don't have any from what I can see (have my contacts on and cant see close for crap right now.LOL

haha my eyes aren't too good without my contacts either and no I don't have cab lights . I'll take the panel off and have someone water down the side of the truck and the windshield. If it is one of those, how do you go about fixing it?

The windshield is not easy, but the door seals you can replace easy enough.

Yeah I have a feeling it's the windshield. My door seals all look to be in good condition. I wrapped up the relays with electrical tape to keep the water out. I don't think it's bad enough to where it's gonna soak the carpet anytime soon so I won't worry about it now.

Well don't forget the fuse panel is right there too. You should take a hose and wet the truck down and try to see where it's coming in.
