Default Fuel tank wiring connector- need help

Hey guys, how the heck does the wiring connector release on top of the fuel tank? I can't get it to budge, there was a red cross tab that I tapped out, then lifted (broke) the lock tab off the top and it still won't uncouple. Could sure use some advice. Thanks.

Should just be the cross lock that pushes across the connector, (I thought it was Green though).
Yeah just push that till it clicks back and stays then the wiggle the 2 plug halves apart.

was a pain when i had to do it. took me about 15-20 min just to get that plug off. best bet is just to wiggle it and try to pull. might want to try it with some pliers but dont use to much force.
