Default workin on the intake manifold.

Most breaks in the plenum gasket ive seen are very obvious. There is definately oil getting into my air intake, but upon inspection I couldnt see any defect in the plenum gasket. is there any other way for oil to get in that i should be worried about? If not I reckon its just a fail on the part of the mechanic whom i used to trust. Also looks like coolant is getting into my oil and vice versa. I just think that the last gasket kit installed on my truck was done so by apes.

negative on the milky color. But there was a lot of residue in the radiator hose, and the coolant has a brown tinge to it. I think the leak is from the intake manifold gaskets being installed without any silicone. Also I think that it explains how oil can get into my intake all the way to the throttle body without a major blow out in the plenum. I just think it has been leaking through because the gaskets weren't properly installed. unless of course someone knows another path for oil to get in the air portions of the intake manifold? I cant think of any.

did you check the PCV valve to make sure its working properly?

if its clogged or not working right it could be sucking oil out of the valve cover into the plenum.

Your coolant might be brown due to rust. It's kinda normal. I have a fully rebuilt engine and I flushed the rad before reinstalling and I have brown looking antifreeze. I have the air gap as well so no pan gasket to worry about
