opinions on paint
whats up guys, well as some of you know i was planning to sell my truck, after some thought and figuring, ive decided to keep the ole truck... since my paint job is pretty bad, ive got tons of scratched including a huge key mark from front to back that happened with the last owner..
so im looking into giving her an all new paint job and ive got a few ideas id like opinions on..
should i keep the original flame red?
or go with the darker red that comes stock on dodges
do a candy red
or dare to be different with a dark ford gray
im a big Red and Black fan... theyre my favortie colors and its most likely what ill do, but im undecided on which red... ive always liked the dark gray as well and think itd look pretty mean with black accents like i have now.. so im kinda torn and looking for opinions... thanks guys

Keep the red.
You just don't get to see many red trucks from our era with a pristine paint job. Not to mention, if you get it done right you'll have a better finish than what you would have from the factory.
Candy red would be my next choice, but if you do that, I hope you like clay baring and waxing a lot since that color is swirl city. (All colors are, but that particular color will show them a lot more than most others.)

i didnt even think about inside the doors and under the hood and all that... seems like staying the same would be easiest.. i kinda in my mind convinced myself to either stay flame red or go to the gray... the darker red just doesnt strike me as much, and as indy said the candy will cost more.. problem is, i cant really imagine how the truck will look with the gray color, i tried to photo shop it but my skills are limited.. itd look tough i think, but its a big risk..

you could always scuff up and black prime the under-hood/door jambs from a can.. it's not like that would be THAT noticeable.. I like the gunmetal gray... and that would go hand in hand with that as an option.. do it before you get it painted though.. It's fairly easy to maintain too afterward with some careful 'replacement' shots.. just make sure you have a good coat of wax on that rascals exterior before you go to 'touching up' the jambs/under-hood.
