Restore Engine Restorer
Im thinking about trying this product to try and increase compression. I am currently running seafoam through my oil and will change my oil this thursday. Has anybody used this before and what results did you get. Ive read alot of reviews from other websites and forums and all Ive heard are good results so far.
There used to be a write up by someone on here about the stuff, but I'll be damned if I can find it. The Admin/mods here, replaced some missing DIY's that I thought that was in, but it's not. Try searching you might find it.
i use that evrey oil change for 3 years now, when i first started using it i noticed more power, so now i dont stop using it , people actaully did compression test before and after and it works , so yeah i like it
it is not worth it. If you have blow by and a big loss in compression, it won't work. I tied it on my SBC 350 and it did nothing.
Save your money on some real maintenance. Lucas Oil Stabilizer is good though. I run that every oil change. It also really helps keep your engine clean.

Lucas has anti foam in it. If it frothed my oil up like that, then my lifter galley, and valvesprings would have had baked on grease.
I am going to have to investigate this further. I will send this to Lucas and have them explain it to me.
Thanks for posting.

All additives are not regulated by the Federals just like Herbs! They can put whatever they want in those additives and sell it to ya with clams. I don't use ANY of em!
Besides if you look in your owners manual it states "DO NOT use any additives". I live by the word it it's broke then fix it properly.

well i can tell you after 8 years of using this , it works !!
I had a 92 chev cavalier , wouldn't pull a hill, had old folks passing me on bicycles..lol.
It restored compression and stopped blow by. you need to use 1 can then a second after 300 miles , and you have no need to drain oil . It has no teflon and the engine can be rebuilt with no problems.
by the way that car.....its still running.

Eh, I've used that stuff and it worked ok in my old expy. Used a little less oil. Didn't really notice any difference in the way it drove. I think it depends on how bad the engine is worn. If it's using a hell of a lot of oil and losing compression somethin fierce then I don't see it helping any.
My new catalytic converter is coming in on Monday. I got OEM because I couldnt find a high-flow one that was a pretty good price. My engine runs pretty good, doesnt burn hardly any oil after the plenum fix. Im just thinking about adding it to see if I can get a little more out of the old girl.
