Dodge 360 5.9 block
ok i have a Dodge Ram 1500 Sport with the 360 V8 5.9l, i just bought another engine out of a 98 Ram and its the same engine, i bought the engine because im gona make it a project and then when im ready pull the old 360 and throw the new one in but i need some input from you guys as you seem to know these trucks top to bottom, i wana overhaul the entire thing crank cam heads manifold intake all that good stuff, i wana push as much HP and ft/lb of torque as i can, i want her to still be very fast and have good power low end also but id rather hear what you all have to say then buy a bunch of expensive parts and end up with bad results so give me everything and if you have links that would be great, i also wana get it bored, and finally im gona twin turbo it so knowing all that lay it on me what i gotta do and what combination work, and i want to keep it MPI, no carb
ready to throw inhttp://www.proformanceunlimited.com/...ysler_420.html
but youll need to go to hughesengines.com as previously listed, pick out a 408 or 426 stroker kit (call them and upgrade to a forged rotating assembly) get some ported 2.02 Iron Ram heads, appropriate cam (call them), harland sharp 1.6 roller rockers, 24# injectors, airgap intake, youll need the high quality arp studs that are like $1200, and if i havent forgot any major components finally youll want max evil too http://dreviltransmissions.com/46RE.htm, oh and youll want to have all the machine work done to your block. And ofcourse a custom twinturbo setup. and lastly youll need lots and lots of cash

honestly i know what you mean in fact thats one of the reasons im doing it, i already have the 2 turbos though and the manifolds so thats out of the way, what i need is the engine built so it can take it, its not gona be anytime too soon but it will get done i already have a good amount of the stuff atleast turbo wise, the new engine needs to be bale to handle it and work properly though, the link that was posted was great as far as that whole top end kit goes, any ideas on low end and types of pistons?
like i said anything you could ever dream of is at hughesengines.com, just click on 360 magnum, and pick out a forged crank, pistons, and rods. but if your going with the 408 or 426 u shuld just buy the sroker kit and upgrade it to a forged assembly. being that your running twins im assuming your running some hefty boost as well? its pricey bro. o and dont forget to throw in a dana 70 with chromoly axle shafts 4.10's and lockers in the rear and a super 60 with chromolys and 4.10s and maybe some posi or lockers in the front. and ur prolly gonna wanna beef up that 231. and hell if youve got this much cash go ahead and get everything cryogenically treated it wont hurt, but being the block is cast iron it should be able to hold some big numbers if its in good shape
