How much does it cost to get springs re-arched anyway?

I've put on a lot of Wagner Thermo Quiets and haven't had any real issues, aside from the set I put on my Jeep. They like to squeal whenever they feel like it. Pads are shimmed correctly, backings are greased, slides are greased, and the rotors are perfect (replaced the same time as the pads.) Sometimes they'll go a week without making a noise, then they decide to be noisy as hell at every stop.

Other than that, they stop noticeably better than the old pads. ZJ's are under-braked just like 2nd gen rams and eat up pads just as often. After 5,000 miles they still look brand new so I have a feeling they should last quite awhile.

I was told not to put brake grease on the thermo quiets because the shims are internal.

My sister used to work at advance and she was told by the higher ups that they couldn't honor the warranty if there was brake grease on the back of them.

That was in an attempt to quiet them down.

i asked about it at a local drive line shop a few years ago. my memory's not good but i do remember it was more than i wanted to spend, so it must have been more than a 100 each. when i asked him would it hold up hauling firewood he shook his head and said - no, they'll sag back out.

here's an internet site that claims to have a process that works, but the cost is higher than just buying new springs. 250+ each.
