Default Mopar M1 intake

Hi there. I have been looking around for different intake options and i have some questions. Where can I purchase a mopar m1 intake for a 1995 5.2l?
If I go with the m1 will i be loosing alot of low end power? I was also lookind at doing the stage 1 Hughes intake manifold mod, has anyone had it done, and is it a better idea for the low end power. Thanks all

you will notice a loss of low end grunt on a stock engine.

The keg modification usually nets a larger mid range gain than the minimal loss off idle. Do that one.

Well said AIM. I have a lot of Mods, and I will be sticking to my kegger. If I wanted some REAL gains, i would just put that 699 towards heads.

I might spend 599 for that intake if my truck lasts another 5 years and I don't really have anything else to do to it.

Read this and you will see that an aftermarket intake is not necessary:
http://www.bionicdodge.com/bionic/in...p?topic=9197.0

In a nutshell:
RV camshaft
1.6 roller rockers
2.02 valve heads (Stock R/T Heads used)
Crank pulley
stock kegger

20 less RWHP than a hemi
60 MORE ft lbs of torque!!!

**That was a "budget" build. But the cost for that is around 2500 unless you can find some deals. I would not get a used camshaft or heads though**

Thanks.
I plan on ordering up a stage 1 intake manifold from hughes. So far what I have done to my truck is cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and headers flowing to a half *** exhaust (replacing when I am done traveling for work), also just completly went throung the front end to stiffen her up and so that I know it has been done. I did upper and lower ball joints, wheel bearings, u joint, brake pads and rotors, front diff fluid. I just purchased the truck [1995 dodge ram 1500 reg. cab 4X4 5.2l 98,000 miles].

Would it be worth it to hollow out my cat to get her to exhale more freely, or is it not worth it?

I say you don't get that intake. It is a waste of $600 as your first modification.

Just get a tuner and 180* thermostat.

P.S. YOu know you will have to toss that throttle body spacer when you get the RPM intake. It comes with an adapter for our 2 blade throttle body. GOod thing too. Because that throttle body spacer was not doing a thing for you.
