Default Truck out of alignment

Well, just noticed that my tires are worn a bit more on the OUTSIDE of the treads.

It is visually noticeable.

Would that be the reason why my truck seems to pull?

When you couple in that with the 3 inches of play in the steering (from the factory) it makes for some overcompensation/undercompensation and general nervousness when driving.

It doesn';t seem bad all the time though.

ALso, would that have an effect on how the truck handles when braking? It seems that when I brake HARD, it pulls to both sides (or maybe one side, and I overcompensate).

I think I need to get an alignment. GMC dealerships around here have them for 49 bucks. i think i will take them up on that offer.

That $49 is gonna turn into a lot more $. I had the same problem and I ended up replacing most of the worn out front end. Wheel Bearings , ball joints ...ect.

Wouldn't wear on the outside be either positive camber or too much toe in?

Just curious, how can it pull to both sides? Wouldn't that just equal out?
