Last night I noticed when I stopped to get fuel,there was alot of pressure built up in fuel tank when I loosened the cap. It was pretty empty 6 gallons left. Now today my CEL is on. The code is p1486 P1486(Eva Leak Monitor Pinched Hose Found). Could the cap be bad or is the vent line from tank giving me the problem. I havent had a chance to check it out yet. Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks!

 

it is a clogged/pinched hose in the evap system. Not the cap. The cap is supposed to be airtight. My guess is the evap purge solenoid.
