Default Steering Issue.

I don't have play in the steering or slop, wheel seems tight. I have a light clunk or pop intermittently. I checked for play where the shaft comes out of firewall, nothing. I checked down near the gear box. and there seems to be alittle play there. Stupid question alert. Is this the intermediate shaft? If so there seems to be a U-joint there that has play. Can this u-joint be replaced or do you have to replaced the intermediate shaft??Any Help

Have you tried checking the power steering fluid first?
