Thanks alot guys for all the positive comments, btw im not a cop, my good friend who was my roommate for about 2 years is a cop, and i know many other cops also. So that explains the blue lines.

Also Im not going to sell the stock mirrors for 2 reasons one both glasses have cracks down the center of them, and because just in case i sell the truck i can put the stock mirrors back on and keep the tow mirrors for another truck.

Also 96 connectors are different from 00 check out this link, it tells you how to wire the tow mirrors for a 96

dodge15004x45.9....why do you have a Cummins plate on a 360 Ram?
Aspiring truck I see.
Just a lot lol. The small business that I'm in is growing a lot so in a few years I might have a company truck with one of them in there.

damnit Jim... I had just declared I was through with exterior mod's... thanks.. dangit...

seriously, the 'blue-lines' around here will bust you nicely for towing without tow mirrors.. I don't know if that is a interpretative thing or if they have some sort of guidelines to reference, but the point being is they can't argue with mirrors specifically designed for towing, which is an upgraded item specifically for that purpose- the kitchen table lawyer in me is whispering "they would have a hard time making that stick in court if you provided sales/product information"...

the fine is in the neighborhood of $400.. (ask me how I know).. the cost of this upgrade is in the neighborhood of $250.. it's a no brainer..

I'm ordering them as we speak..

I hope they are beneficial(as in you actually tow). Because aesthetically speaking, IMHO they look horrible. JMO, don't get your panties in a bunch!LOL Just not my cup of tea. The stockers look a lot better.

They can be, but I suspect it's economically driven. We're talking DMV popo here, not your average copper. They prowl the hwy's nailing commercial carriers mostly but won't hesitate to pull a truck they suspect is overloaded.

I was pulling a RPM toy hauler. (7500# or so). There is no waiver for toy haulers as there is camper trailers. I was under, but he suggested the mirrors weren't sufficient for towing that thing.

This was at a rest stop on the NC/SC border. The guy approached me because I was tossing decoys for the dogs to burn off some of their energy. Apparently he was a duck hunter. He didn't cite me, but he explained what he COULD cite me for if he wanted to.

I stopped by a parts store that afternoon and got those hideous slip on mirror extension things. I used some gorilla glue to keep 'em on there.

It's been in the back of my mind to do something like this for a while, if for no other reason just to NOT give them a reason to pull me. It's also crossed my mind to replace the '1500' badge with a '2500' badge so they likely won't even look twice.
