The Magnum bottom end is stout, Duner is running over 15PSI on a stock bottom end 5.9, pushing his Dakota deep into the 10s, it's all about the tune..

damn, well what about on a 5.2 though my understanding is they dont hvae domed pistons like the 360 so its not good to boost them? and someone said boosting over like 5 is crazy on amagnum engine, and that they really shouldnt be boosted at all ?

Don't know about pistons but AFAIK the 5.2 and 5.9 have the same compression ratio.

There are many many people boosting stock bottom end magnums. Don't go crazy with the boost and don't let it go lean or detonate and it'll hold up well.

i got a 5.2 and id like to push about 5 psi maybe, the compression for a 5.2 is 9.1:1 and the 5.9 is 9.4:1 im pretty sure the 5.9 has domed pistons and the 5.2 is flat topped, i really wana boost up my 5.2 but i might be able to get a 5.9 motor with blown head gaskets for free and thennnnnnnnnnnn 408 build eventually
