So my CEL came on tonight and I'm on the first leg of a long weekend trip. I got code 12, 17 and 31. I know what 12 is, however 17 and 31 I don't know. I've searched google high and low but to no avail. Can one of you guys tell me? If you have a Haynes manual, all the key dance codes are in chapter 6 the emissions chapter. Would one of you mind checking that out for me real quick? I always carry my OBD II scanner on me but I let my bro-in-law borrow it...sucks for me.

 

17 engine is cold too long. Engine coolant temperature remains below normal operating temperature during operation.(check the thermostat).

31 Problem with the canister purge solenoid circuit.
