Why can I not find a trasnmission to replace the one in my 2000 ram 1500 5.2 2wd automatic....just to confirm I have been told its a 46re.. is that correct? Need help asap open to all suggestion. really looking to swap instead of rebuilding but at this point I have to do whatever I can to get my truck on the road

 

It is a 46RE, and you are better off getting it rebuilt. A used one will be a crap shoot since you don't know how it's been abused.
