P1762 and 1763 after replacing Gov Sel and senor
Hello All,
I did a search for this issue, found some questions, but few seemed to bother posting if the problem got fixed and what they did.
So heres mine: Bought a 2001 4x4 Ram with the 5.9, 118K miles.
Drove it 130 miles and the CEL comes on, a P1757 code.
Replaced the gov solenoid and sensor, filter and new catrol 4F tranny fluid
Drove it about 15 miles and get a P1762 and 1763 code.
Took in to AAMCO, they scanned it told me I have a 1762 and 1763 code (gee thanks!) and the gov pressure was stuck at 106 psi.
So it seems that:
1. I may have not connected it correctly and it is shorting to ground
2. The wiring is bad and I disturbed it when I replaced it, or
3. the new sensor is bad ( from transmissionpartsusa.com, a Florida company)
I have read alot about the possiible TV cable adjustement, possible after cat same circuit issues.
So what'cha all think?
Thanks, other than this, I really like the truck...James
