Default Shop talk on swaps and TPS's

I swapped my 98 318 w/ a 97 360 a few years ago.
I used my 318 intake.

Not making notes or me not having done the swap personally I forgot about the org intake and TPS. So when I replaced the TPS 6 months ago I went to order it and said 97 eng.

Sitting here this morning pondering upon some problems w/ surge, rev's and such. I realized that my mechanic used the orginal intake again on my 99 360 we just dropped in last week.

Checked w/ the parts house. The 97 vs the 99 are two different part #'s for the TPS.

Any green horns like me out there may need to read this.

Now the question remains.... Is my 98 318 pcm helping with some unresolved issues on the newest 99 360 dropped in.

Broke w/ six kids. Anyone wants to give away a 98 or 99 pcm for a 360.lol

O no , How bout my other sensors going from 318 to 360?

Not sure why there is a part number difference at autozone, but they are the same according to rockauto when looking at a SMP tps. If anything I would keep on the lookout for a 360pcm and do some research if the injectors were different those years. Also when does the surging occur? Idle, 200rpm while in over drive?

On an unrelated note, did you use the 360 flywheel and torque converter?

surge happens at idle.

On the TPS you don't think there could be different ohms or something?
