Default 96 Ram HVAC drain broke off in engine compartment side

This may be covered in another post, but I am on military duty now and don't have much time to browse around.... I had to change my Heater Core recently and the drain from the HVAC broke off.. Has anyone tried a hose PVC, Rubber, Copper, or other that will fit in the broke off hole and fit snug with silicone or other adhesive, or what would be the best solutution for this problem? Thanks for any suggestions

Never had the problem, but pvc pipe sounds like the best idea to me. Use the largest diameter pipe that will fit the hole and use a lot of silicone. Probably don't need to stick the pvc too far into the box or it may not drain. Maybe it'll work, good luck.

Thanks..I found some things at the hardware store made to connect hoses that may work....I will try them to see waht works best....The way it broken is that I was trying to clear the whole with a screwdriver and I snapped off.. this happened before I did the Heater Core replacement....
