Default Starting issues

I bought this truck used. It's a 2001 Dodge 5.2L Quad cab 1500series. 2wd.

It clicks when starting. I changed batteries out from my other truck and it just clicks away. What gives? I am new to these dodge trucks.

Take the starter out and take it to your local auto part's store and have them test it in their machine.

I had this problem a couple weeks back. If you turn the ignition, and it only gives one click, replace the starter. It will cost around $75 after core return. I changed mine out and now everything works great, no problems starting up.

Lmao at the above post. If I were you which I'm not, but if I were before I spent any money on a new starter I would take the old one out and have your local auto part's store test it. Why spend the money before you know if it's good or bad? Could just be a loose ground.

First check cable connections at battery, starter, and all grounds.
