Default plug wires

Going to replace plug wires soon. The wires on there now are stock replacements, routed per the tsb. I plan on putting 8mm wires on the truck this time. Is it still necessary to route them per the tsb with a high quality 8 mm wire?

I would. I mean it only takes minutes. If that's the way it was done before I would put it back like that.
