What? I thought you said you replaced the IAC a year ago?

Try charging the battery fully and see if your issues go away. Low battery voltage causes all sorts of issues and the alternator is not the most robust charging solution.

Started the truck up this morning and she is acting like nothing ever happened. Drove around with no problem. Revved the engine and it recovered to 500-600rpm without the hint of dying. Ran the rpms up around 3500 for a few seconds and the jumped off the throttle and it recovered well to 500-600rpm. Very weird.

Using your truck to charge a complete dead battery is not good. You can wipe out your alternator in no time.

How? Isn't that what an alternator is designed to do? It generates electricity. Dead batteries are only batteries that can no longer retain the charge an alternator creates. Correct me if I am wrong.

I may be a bit outside of my expertise here, but I believe alternators are designed to top off a battery. Charging a battery from completely dead draws a lot more current than just topping off. In the sense of saving money on the final design, since most people wouldn't be able to start a truck off a dead battery, it would make sense the alternator is not designed with charging a dead battery in mind. That and if the battery is completely dead, the alternator would be stuck at 100% trying to charge it -> not good.
