I see no mention of it in any of the guides calling to pull the carrier, but looking at the diagrams (and seeing my own difficulty getting the carrier our even though I was abole to break it from the races), do you have to move the intermediate axle prior to pulling the carrier?

Thanks!

Default dangit...

Ah crap... so I'm going to town on the carrier and I probably damaged a bearing or the axle in the CAD, huh?

Seriously there is no mention of moving the intermediate axle in any one of the dana 44 teardown instructions I've found anywhere, so I didnt even think of it.

My 3 week long venture to replace my Ujoints (and then the seals) is turning into the biggest mistake ever. Shoulda just bought a new truck, lol

I guess I'll just "pray" that nothings broken/damaged, put it all back together, and see what happens... lol. Thanks for telling me though, because I was 3 seconds from using a sledge hammer on the pry bar...

The intermediate shaft slide's out through the passenger side.(you can pull it with through with the CAD removed) Replace the bushing and the bushing in the end of the outer passenger side axle, and you should be fine.
