Default Relationship of Power Windows to No-Start

My son was using my pickup last week. Ran fine, no problems. When he shut it down and went to restart it, there was nothing. No clicking, nada. Also the power windows wouldn't work. Battery is fully charged and everything else works fine. I had the steering column out a couple of weeks ago to install the solid steer bushing deal but I carefully followed the directions and all seemed well afterward.

My son checked fuses and couldn't find any prob. I'm going to look at it today and was just hoping that someone else may have experienced this. Thanks.

hows the battery terminals....we have weak pcms, and the slightest bad connection can shut down everything....also there is a fuse (driverside of dash near door) call the I.O.D. fuse, check that one....

Connections are good. Just put a code reader on it and all is normal. Checked fuses (engine, power windows). Both good. Let me check that one you mentioned. This has got to be a simple fix! Thanks.

Checked that one. It's good too.

try swapping some of the relays under the hood...a/c, fuel pump, abs etc. swap them around (all have same relay) and see if anything changes. ( driver side near battery)

do you have any guage lights that come on? or is there completly nothing when turning the key.

You have probably checked this already but I'll suggest it anyway. Unplug the steering column wire connector block and look for spades that may have moved or pushed in the wrong way.

Found the problem. There was a 40 amp fuse called "engine run" that was blown. Not sure why it blew or how it could be connected with power windows but I found it was bad, replaced it and the windows worked and the truck started. I'm keeping an eye on it. Thanks to all.
