the only difference if it taken out than right now would be an exhaust leak then? or am i confused about something? the o2's havent been in it for at least a month, the broken piece is kind of a plug right now, and it ran just the way it sits. i have been slowly trying to get to all the little wiring issues etc. since i bought it, but this is a pretty big issue now cause it wont even run to get me anywhere. since i bought it, it ran rough while cold but was fine after it warmed up even with the ****ty swap....

I'm trying to determine if the cat is clogged. Removing it will release the pressure.

ok, say it is clogged, would that cause an ignition problem? i was thinking possibly the cam sensor in the distributor, but was looking for someone else to see if they agree/disagree or had any other ideas. i dont think ill be able to remove the broken piece myself, so i need to try and get it running where it sits in my driveway...

It's to eliminate that as a possibility before you go spending money.
