Default Biggest tires for a '96?

First off, I'm new here, I own a '96 Ram 1500 with a 318ci motor, which is in need of attention and surgery, which is currently happening, new tie rods on both sides and most likely ball joints also

My question is, what's the biggest tires that can fit on a stock height '96?

Thanks,

Rick

I believe, if its 4x4, 33's, maybe some slight rubbing. You can also do 285/75/16's.

If it's 2x4, i have no idea, but I think the factory 265's on the 4x4's will fit on a 2x4.

I did some googling and found that 265/75/16 is the biggest that will fit with some modification to something, not sure what that "something" is yet

Thanks

I'm looking into some general grabber at 2's, like the tread pattern and all

General grabbers are a good choice. Very popular here.

To the OP is the truck 2wd drive if so you should not have a problem with 265/75/16's and have you looked into the bfg all terrains, they are a MUCH better tire than the grabbers IMHO

Only thing I like from BFG are the MT T/A KM

Plus, they're a bit more expensive, found the AT2s at sears for $694 installed
