Default Torque specs...?

Anybody able to provide the torque specs for the tranny pan bolts?...I recently replaced the fluid, filter and gasket and used the good ol' "hold the head of the ratchet and tighten til' your wrist feels it" and I'm still getting some slight seepage. Fluid level is still fine, but I'd like to stop the leak.

I found for the 44re it says 13 ft lbs... I assume the 46 & 47's are the same.

edit... yes, 13 ft lbs for the others too...(all of them). No specific sequence listed but I'd do a criss-cross pattern and torque them down in 2 maybe 3 steps, like maybe 2 ft lbs, then 6 ft lbs, then to the 13... tranny's are hard to stop leaking and I think it's because the torque sequence doesnt exist (from the manual). I could be wrong... but that's my opinion anyway...

Thanks...I'm going to go get the torque wrench from the firehouse and tighten them up right. I'll let you know how things go.

I know this is rather elementary mechanics, but did you make sure that the gasket surfaces were clean and free of junk such as old gasket sealers, RTV, etc.

I completely understand your response. Yes, I made certain that both surfaces were clean and clear of any trash, debris, etc. I got the torque wrench and tightened each bolt to 13 ft/lbs in a criss-cross pattern. Two of them were right on the money...the others each needed another 4-5 ft/lbs to make them right. Seeping appears to have stopped, I'll make sure I have the torque wrench with me from now on. Thanks for the help.

I've found that on bolts that have a light torque spec, once you've made one pass on all the bolts, the 1st few are now loose and need a re-torque. this is how I do it on the intake manifold bolts and it's never leaked.

Yeah, after getting all the ramaining bolts to proper torque, I had to go back to start and tighten a little more each pass until they were all the same. Everything looks good now. Thanks.
