need help with my vacumed 4x4

Default need help with my vacumed 4x4

ok well i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9l 4x4 and my motor over heated and it melted the vacume lines that run to transfer case then lead to front diffrential for the 4x4 i was wondering if any one knows were the vacume comes from??? i do not know to much im 18 yrs old. so i was hoping someone could help me out...also were could i buy a new vacume hose. there is four. 1-red,black,green, and grey.

well besides the fact that the vac supply shouldnt be touching the engine!... is it the white vac line im guessing?

if it only melted in half just get a 1/8" coupler from advance and put it back together. follow the white line frome the passenger side of the intake. the 4wd is connected to an intake port along with cruise and climate control and heads back under the firewall, simply find your leak and you should be good. the red and black lines are not near the engine.

yea i just need to replace the white and green lines i guess that run to the firwall some were ill look for that leak. if i cant find that leak can i hook it up to any vacume line?

Neither of those 2 lines go into the firewall, the white one connects to the vac lines on the passenger side of the manifold, the green one is just a vent and should have a check valve on the end of it.


In this pic you will see a white rubber cap. That is where the white line connects to.
