lol ya.well i wanted to run it a bit and wash the crap down that i couldnt get before changin the oil.anyway found the cause ,did the compression test 6 and 8 were both flat 0 psi got out the bore scope and took a peak 8 looked ok didnt see any problems no scoring nothin,6 however has bad cylinder scoring and the piston is cracked in half and melted with multiple holes in the piston crown .theres my ignition source.guess its time for a new used motor .sweet just bought this truck my 1st dodge and already needs a motor .i new it was too good deal for the price ,well still a good deal if i get a motor cheap enough.

I guess the solvent was in the cylinder and when it fired, well,it fired. And since your in R.I. My 98 has 155K IIRC on the clock. It needs a dizzy and the plenum done. Other than that it used to run great. If you are interested.

Check the JY's in you area for motors with similar miles and we'll go from there. It will be cheaper because you are going to come and help take it out
