2000 ram pcv valve
It is possible, but there are several other reasons it could idle rough and bog out as well. TPS and IAC come to mind. If you look at the FAQ section or do a search of the forum, you'll find a ton of info on those little dudes.
If you want to try it, the PCV valve is really inexpensive. The PCV valve for the 2000-2001s, IIRC, is on the driver's side valve cover, towards the back. It has a short vacuum hose going from it to the intake manifold. This is one of those parts that you don't want to get from the auto parts stores, because they have a generic unit that reportedly doesn't work as well. You can get it at a Dodge dealership for about $8 (as of a few months ago). Replacement is simple... pull the old one straight up, pull off the hose. Push the hose onto the new one, push it straight down into the hole the old unit came out of.
I will move this to the 2nd gen section (1994-2001 Rams), if I missed anything, the guys there will fill in the blanks.
