no injector pulse

ok, i have about had it with this truck and its issues since i bought it. 94 1500 4x4 and it has been swapped with a 96 360, 5 speed, and obd2 pcm. it is an auto pcm, but was running and driving fine before. as far as i can tell i have no injector pulse. tested with a noid light and got nothing. my question is, is my pcm bad? does anything else factor into the injectors getting power? thanks!

Check the Crank sensor and it's wires. Also the ASD relay and the fuel pump pressure. (with a gauge)

my fuel pressure is low 40's at the rail, crank sensor looked and ohm'd fine, but i tried a different one just to see and same thing. as far as the asd relay, i bought 2 extras before so i know they are good, cause i can swap with the starter relay, but no pulse at the injectors themselves

Could also be a bad ground somewhere. But, check for codes with the key trick.

lucky me, the key trick doesnt do anything at all. no flashing, and ive tried a few times

How are you checking the pulse? The common wire should be hot while cranking and the other wire will be the pulsing ground, checked by putting the "Ground" wire from the test light on a 12v source.

Have you verified that you have spark?

autolockguy13 11-21-2010 02:16 PM

i do have spark, it will run as long as im spraying starting fluid down the t.b. and i know theres no pulse cause i checked the wires with a noid lite and it never once flashed

Check the ground wire up above the power steering pump. Just follow the injector harness forward from the manifold on the drivers side. Make sure that one is clean, and tight.

You need to verify fuel pressure obviously. I think your fuel pump simply took a dump.

i did verify fuel pressure like i said i have low 40's psi at the rail. im going to go out and check the ground stated by hey you
