Unhappy Please help me

Ok, like I said in an earlier thread, I took the needles off my cluster (don't ask why, I feel like an idiot ) so right now I'm trying to get everything recalibrated. If I disconnect the neg. battery cable, that should reset the pcm right? If so, will that take all the gauges back to zero, so when I put the needles back to zero to, that should fix it? Please help, thanks.

Do you have the needles back on the gauges, or just trying to set the posts back to zero? Could you not start the truck and shut it off, letting the posts go back to zero after its shut down (not really zero, but their resting place when off), and then put the needles back on (might reference a pic of gauge cluster with needles attached, ignition off). Or...don't they normally go to zero before cranking with the key turned on, and then you can take the needles off and put them back on at zero. Maybe I've been no help, have never opened the gauge cluster. Might be easier to get a gauge cluster at the junk yard if all else fails. I don't think there's a way of making the needles "reset" and zero if they're on the posts wrong.
