Default 95 Ram Coil Packs?

I have a 95 Ram 2500 4x4 and it runs like a beast on dry days, but when it rains it won’t start. The starter will turn strong and there may be a sputter and a cough, but ultimately nothing. A friend said I should check the coil packs (there is no distributer cap) for a crack. I just bought this thing and I don’t know where or how many there are. Help would be most appreciated.

Thanks, Joe

I am not sure about 1995 2500 but my 96 1500 has only one coil and it does have a distributor cap. It's just hard to see because it is behind the intake close to the firewall and I would bet your is the same. I could be wrong because I don't own a 2500.

slider15004x4 is right, and a 2500 is the same as a 1500.

Check the distributor cap for moisture.

Unless it's a V10.

Thanks, It just didn't 'jump out at me' so I'll look deeper for the cap. It's a V8

its a pain for sure. i normally just sit in the engine bay and lean over. take the hood off maybe? or just get a creeper and lay it on there being careful of course.

I did it the easy way. Independent garage a block from me that treats me right. Had them put wires, cap & rotor on. Cost 20 or 25 bucks.
