Default Punchin' my 360...

When i punch my 360 doing about 20 mph should it be pretty torquey?

I find that everyone says that there 360's have good power, but mine dosnt seem like what everyone is talking about.

I just changed the oil to Royal Purple and did the trans fluid as well. It runs awesome and smooth as glass, dosn't burn any oil and ive even got an MSD Coil on it and it just dosnt seem to be what i thought.

Now i know that dodges are not known at all for economy. But im having problems getting 250 km out of a full tank of gas in the city. Is that pretty close to normal for my 5.9?

Thanks guys

250 km is about 155 miles. I'm assuming you have a short bed dodge ram which has the smaller fuel tank which is 26 gallons. So if you are having troubles getting 155 miles or 250 km out of city driving. That is around 6-7 mpg's which is bad for these trucks.

How many miles or km do you have on this truck? You're truck should be getting above 10 mpg if its stock.

The motor apperantly has about 150xxx km on it. The prior owner had the motor and trans replaced, and yeah it is a short bed.
Getting the 250km out of a tank too isnt driving like a grandpa but also isnt driving like Dale Jr. Just normal driving

have you changed the plenum gasket? if not you could have that blown, and a deathflash, and those will ROB you of power bigtime...

i punched my 360 last night when i got mad and saw a new speed sensor didnt get my speedo working, so i matted it to the floor as hard as i could, and damn my truck took the f**k off.....didnt know it had that much *****, ive never stomped it like that before...

it seems like every other post is about the plenium and its because it makes a HUGE difference in mpg and power... only took me around 6hrs to do it with very basic tools

What is your actual MPG (miles drive/gallons) how many miles you got on a tank before you decided to fill up does not mean anything.

Fill your tank, reset trip, drive, fill tank again, do math and come back and tell us.

What size tires and gear ratio are you running?

Plenum is probably blown.

old thread but

short beds have 26 gallons tanks, and 6 gallons are used to cool the fuel pump that why the lights come and it takes about 20gallons to fill up
