When I hit the brakes hard and sudden there is a huge bang like the front axle is about to fold up under the truck. (seems like its comming from the front-ish.

If I apply the brakes slow and easy I can stand on them and there is no issues. Its just if I have to slam on them.

Any Ideas?
I have checked the torque on all the front susp bolts. (control arms included)

 

I've experienced the same thing before, but don't know what it could be.

 

put it up on a lift or 4 jack stands and see if you can reproduce it in the shop

 

I thought someone here mentioned loose shocks or something like that before
