99 Ram brake pedal goes almost to the floor
No pedal after replacing front pads and calipers, master cylinder and booster vacuum check valve, rear shoes, slave cylinders and fluid lines.
Parking brake cable was rusted and useless, 86'ed the bracket.can't:
a. Get enough pedal to bleed the lines
b. get the rear shoes to align with the top pivot point or the cylinder adapters.
c. move the shoes in or out manually after loosening or tightening the adjuster
I ordered the shoes that the AutoZone app recommended, 11 inch. But after looking at the Mopar catalog, I'm finding there is a 13" version that was also used in '97. Based on the wonky fashion the 11" shoes fit, I'm pretty sure this is my issue. However, I cannot find a part number for the 13" shoes.
Feedback, please??

Do you know for SURE the calipers are on the correct sides? If they get swapped, you will NEVER, ever, get a solid brake pedal. There will be an air bubble in the top of the caliper. I got a reputation as a miracle worker when I got a car in my shop once that we had to tow as there were no brakes. An hour later, I called the customer to come get it. He'd been to the dealer and they kept charging for work but never fixed it. He had put new calipers on and the bleed valve was at the bottom. Why the dealer didn't see that, don't ask me.
Tell you what, I was 100% confident about the calipers...until you asked. I was at the junk yard yesterday and saw a 1500 with the shoes installed backwards, so I guess there is always room and time to verify work. I'm following up on a few bits f advice this morning. I'll post my findings.
